Story
The Shinra Electric Power Company is in control of the world. Through their use of their Mako reactors, the Company is sucking the very life-force out of the Planet, which they see as a mere electric fuel.
A rogue and mercenary, Cloud Strife is hired by the rag-tag resistance movement AVALANCHE to assist in their plight against the Company and its elite military force, SOLDIER. The group combats the company in the post-futuristic city of Midgar, the headquarters of the Company.
But what begins as a crusade against an evil empire becomes much more complex, when a long thought dead soldier, emerges from the shadows. Driven mad by a truth that has been hidden his whole life, he seeks to exact revenge against the entire human race for the sins commited against him. But beyond that, he seeks not to rule the world, nor to attain God-like status, but to completely destroy the Planet.
During his epic journey, Cloud will gain the support and friendship of a mysterious woman, the last of her kind, and caretaker to the secret that would save the Planet. He will need learn to accept the loss of the woman he loved, forge friendships where he thinks he cannot, combat a foe who was once his idol, and ultimatly discover who he is.
